About Inner Child Psychology
Inner Child Psychology is a child and family psychology practice supporting children, parents and carers across Alexandria, Balmain and the Inner West of Sydney. We provide neuroaffirming, evidence-based support for emotional wellbeing, family connection, and developmental differences in a warm, child-centred environment.
Our Mission
To empower children and families to thrive through neuroaffirming, evidence-based support that strengthens connection, builds lasting confidence, and creates foundations for lifelong wellbeing.
Our Why
We believe the most meaningful change happens when children, parents, and psychologists work together.
Our goal is not to create reliance on therapy, but to empower families with the understanding, confidence, and connection they need to support their child throughout life.
We strive to help children feel understood, secure, and supported, while equipping parents with practical skills and lifelong confidence to navigate an ever-changing world. Through strong relationships, shared understanding, and evidence-based care, we help families build the foundations that allow children and young people to thrive.

The Meaning Behind Our Logo
The three interconnecting circles represent the relationship between the child, the parent, and the psychologist. These circles overlap and merge, symbolising collaboration and shared responsibility as we work together to build a healthy foundation for the child.
The Psychologist
The teal circle forms the base, representing the psychologist as a stable foundation. Teal promotes clarity, open communication, and practical thinking which reflects the role of the psychologist in providing structure, guidance, and professional knowledge.
The Parent
The lilac circle represents the parent or caregiver, positioned as the vital link between the child and the psychologist. Lilac symbolises gentle encouragement, emotional expression, and early love, highlighting the parent’s essential role in supporting and nurturing their child.
The Child
The apple green circle represents the child, elevated as the focus of care. Green symbolises growth, life, health, and prosperity which reflects each child’s potential to develop, flourish, and succeed when supported in a safe and connected environment.

At Inner Child Psychology, we see children, parents, and psychologists as partners in the therapeutic process. By working together, we aim to create meaningful and lasting change that extends beyond the therapy room.

Our hope is that families leave not only with greater understanding, but with the confidence, skills, and connection needed to navigate future challenges independently and support their child to thrive.
